The Chicago Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) is a local chapter of the national AMS, founded in 1938, and designed to serve the Chicagoland area and the professional meteorological community through educational and outreach programs. It is our goal to promote and improve the visibility of meteorology and the atmospheric and related sciences within current and future generations.
